This process is quite simple, you just need to remove the fuel tank, then wash the case and burners separately from the fuel tank using a hand brush. Allow both to dry upside down before putting them back together, that is all.
Note: You shouldn’t be tempted to unplug the burners in the name of scrubbing to clean. If you do, the rings might be out of alignment, and your stove won’t light properly or at all.
How To Clean Coleman Camping Stove Parts
Unscrew the burners on your propane camping stove to disassemble it. Warm, soapy water should be used to hand-wash the burners, cooktop, and case. Turn all the stove parts upright to dry. Then, when everything is completely dry and there is no more water, reassemble the stove. (For more tips you can check out this video on YouTube)
Note: On your Coleman camping stove, do not use an oven, engine, or tire cleaner. Keep water out of your camping stove to avoid corrosion, which can reduce fuel flow and limit the life of your stove. If you have a liquid fuel stove, either burn the entire tank of fuel or drain it back into the storage can. Allowing fuel to sit in the line can lead to clogging. Before utilizing the pump cup on the tank’s pump plunger again, lightly lubricate it with machine oil. This should be done twice a year to keep the pump running smoothly and properly pushing air into the tank.
